5 Days Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife safari is the perfect combination of Uganda’s incredible primate encounters and then classic African wildlife experiences. Popularly known as the Pearl of Africa, Uganda is blessed with the breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife, and some of the world’s most remarkable primate populations.
This takes you to two of the Uganda’s most celebrated national parks, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is a home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and then Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of East Africa’s most biodiverse wildlife destinations.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport or after breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will meet your professional safari guide for a briefing before beginning your scenic journey to southwestern Uganda.
The drive offers you wonderful views of the Uganda’s rolling hills, lush countryside and traditional villages. Along the way you will stop at the equator for memorable photographs and refreshments before proceeding through the picturesque landscapes of western Uganda, with an en-route lunch along the way.
Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening and then check into your safari lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for a detailed gorilla trekking briefing conducted by the experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides. After briefing, you will be assigned a habituated gorilla family and then start your trek through the ancient rainforest.

Depending on the location of the gorilla family, the trek may take between two to six hours or longer. Along the way you will spot the beautiful biodiversity.
Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend one hour observing these magnificent primates as they feed, groom, play and interact within their family groups, watching the dominant silverback protect his family while young gorillas play nearby is truly one of the Africa’s greatest wildlife experiences.
After trek to the starting point and be rewarded with the gorilla trekking certificate, then return to your lodge for lunch and then relaxation.
In the afternoon, you may choose to enjoy the optional Batwa cultural experience and then learn about the traditions and then history of the forest’s original inhabitants. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, check out and then depart Bwindi and enjoy a scenic transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the beautiful Ishasha sector, that is famously known for its tress climbing lions, keep your camera ready as you may be lucky enough to spot lions resting in the branches of giant fig trees.
Proceed with the en-route game drive while observing elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Koba, warthogs and numerous bird species that inhabit the park’s diverse ecosystems. Upon arrival at your lodge, enjoy lunch and then spend the remainder of the afternoon relaxing while taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding wilderness. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning game drive and Kazinga channel boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After breakfast, meet your safari driver and go for a morning game drive across Kasenyi plains which is one of the best wildlife viewing areas within Queen Elizabeth National Park. During your drive, you may encounter elephants, lions, buffaloes, hyenas, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, and numerous bird species.
After returning to the lodge for lunch, proceed to one of the safari’s highlights a relaxing boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, this is a natural waterway connects Lake Edward and Lake George and is a home to one of the Africa’s highest concentrations of the hippos.
The cruise provides excellent opportunities to observe crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes and countless bird species gathering along the water’s edge. Kazinga channel offers exceptional wildlife photography opportunities and provides a different perspective of the park’s remarkable memories, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Return to Entebbe and Departure.
Wake up in the morning, enjoy breakfast, then check out from your lodge and then start your journey to Kampala or Entebbe while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Uganda’s countryside. Along the way, you will stop for lunch and refreshments before continuing towards Entebbe in Mbarara town.
Depending on your departure flight, your guide will transfer you directly to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight or to your preferred hotel if extending your stay in Uganda. This marks the end of your unforgettable 5 days Uganda Gorilla and wildlife safari.
