This 6 days Uganda primates trekking safari takes you deep into the rainforests of Uganda, where you will track mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, chimpanzees in Kibale National Park, and golden monkeys in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park then visit Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 1;Â A rrival and transfer to Kibale national park

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.
You will be expected to arrive at Entebbe International very early before midday in order to create time for a drive to Kibale forest national park. Once you arrive at the airport, you will find our company representative waiting for you. You will be picked up and be briefed about the safari and be transfered to Kibale forest national park with en -route lunch, The journey takes 5-6 hours’ drive to the home of 13 primate specie, kibale forest national park where you will be expected to arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at you booked lodge.

Day 2:Â Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk.
Have an early morning breakfast and be transferred to attend a chimpanzee trekking briefing at the park headquarters, Kanyanchu, then penetrate Kibale Forest to search for these endangered primate species in their natural habitats. During chimpanzee trekking, you will encounter other primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys, and lots of mammals, including elephants, and other species that are always encountered while on a chimpanzee trekking adventure. On finding them, spend an hour taking photographs and observing the chimpanzees as they go on with their daily activities of feeding, playing, copulating, and breastfeeding, among others. You will later on return to the lodge for lunch.
After lunch you will be transferred for a guided nature walk within the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary with the local guides, who will be explaining everything you ought to know about the different botanical plant species in the sanctuary. You will encounter other primates, including those seen during the chimpanzee trekking. This will take 2 hours viewing the beautiful nature filled with lots of fauna and flora species. Later on, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Enjoy you early Morning breakfast and check out of the lodge to embark on the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable national park (The home of endangered Mountain gorillas ) which will take you 6-7 hour’s drive with Lunch en-route and proceed your journey via beautiful Sceneries, the land of hills, Upon arrival, check in you booked lodge for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Mgahinga National Park.
Have an early morning breakfast, prepare your backpack, fill it with snacks, pack enough bottled drinking water and be transferred for a briefing about mountain gorilla trekking, including the dos and don’ts and the expectations while in the jungle, among others. Later on, thrill via different trails within the impenetrable forest amidst armed rangers for protection and start the fascinating yet tiresome adventure to search for the habituated mountain gorillas.
If you are lucky, you will spot the mountain gorillas after a few hours of trekking. But in most cases these gorillas tend to move really high and you will require hiking up the mountain via muddy and slippery trails until you land on them. After spotting them, you will enjoy a full hour of close interaction, then return to the headquarters for a certificate of trekking, drive to the lodge for lunch,
And later after lunch, check out of the lodge and be transferred to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, which takes a 2-3 hour drive. Upon arrival, check in to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Golden Monkey Tracking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Enjoy your morning breakfast, then be transferred for trekking the endangered golden monkeys, which are also found in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Spending an hour with the golden monkeys is one of the memorial experiences that will last longer in your memory, after spending about 2-4 hours trailing in the forest searching for them. You will be able to watch golden monkeys as they swing, play and jump from one tree to another cheerfully laughing and having fun. Well, after spending an hour with these beautiful primates, return to the lodge for lunch.

 After lunch you will then be transferred to beautiful Lake Bunyonyi to unwind your evening with a boat ride or canoeing on the lake, where you will be able to explore different islands, enjoy the great view of the beautiful scenery and landscape, and spot different bird species. Later, after the boat, you will return to your booked lodge for dinner and have an overnight stay.

Day 6: Return to Kampala for departure.
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and start your journey while sighting different vegetation covers with lunch en route to Mbarara. Once in Kampala, you will be dropped at either your preferred hotel in case you have an overnight within Kampala or directly at Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight back home.
