This 5 Days Uganda Primates Tour will start and end in Kampala, the capital of Uganda. Activities involved include primates, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park, and gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home of more endangered mountain gorillas. Bwindi is home to over 340 mountain gorillas, with four main groups of mountain gorillas to be trekked.

Detailed Itinerary

DAY I: Transfer to Kibale forest national park and Bigodi Swamp.

 Depending onyouru arrival time at EntebbeInternational Airportt on the first day of the safari, you will be welcomed by yourguide,e who will transfer you from Entebbe or Kampala to Kibale Forest viaMubende–Fort Portal,l overlooking the great view and farmlandss where you will get a chance to see the terraced tea estates and community villages; you will have lunchen routee in FortPortal andl then proceed fora naturee tour. When you arrive at the park continue and go for a visit to the beautiful crater lakes area and go for a 2-hour nature walk in Bigodi swamp as you experience different birds and primates, then Later continue to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Kibale Tourist Safari Lodge.

Day 2: chimpanzee trekking to Kibale forest national park

After breakfast on an early morning, you will meet with the driver guide; he will transfer you to the park headquarters at Kanyanchu for the chimpanzee trekking briefing. After briefing, at around 8:00am you will start chimpanzee trekking through this rainforest, as you will be guided by the park rangers in search of the habituated chimpanzee family. You will be allowed to spend an hour with the primates in their natural habitats, which gives an opportunity to observe their behaviors and habits, take pictures and record the great moments.

It is always a thrilling and an unforgettable experience meeting chimpanzees face-to-face and watching them engage in their daily activities that includes playing, jumping, feeding, etc. Also other animals can be spotted, such as the grey-cheeked mangabeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, baboons, monkeys, and also different birds.’ Later return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

 Early in the morning after breakfast,  set off for a long drive but very interesting with a lot of beautiful attractions along the way, While on your way via ishasha sector you will spot tree climbing lion , Enjoy an en route lunch as you proceed  to the  Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will be able to check in you booked lodge have your dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 5; Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

Gorilla trekking: Imagine what this feels like getting closer to the endangered mountain gorilla with your loved one. After early morning breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters, have a briefing, hire porters and set off to trek mountain gorillas in the wilderness of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will spend a full hour watching the gorillas; the experience allows 4 hours with gorillas in their natural habitats. After trekking with gorillas, you will return to your lodge, freshen up and have some rest as you wait for dinner.

Day 6: Departure back to Kampala

Have your breakfast and set off for Kampala; you will go via Kabale, whereby you will have great and beautiful scenery along the way due to the beautiful vegetation. Have your lunch in Mbarara and continue to Kampala whereby you will arrive in the evening
