Day 1 of 3 days Nyungwe forest Chimpanzee & canopy walk safari: Transfer from Kigali to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park: On day 1 of 3 days of the Nyungwe Forest Chimpanzee & Canopy Walk Safari, our company representative will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or at Kigali International Airport in case you arrive very early before 10:00am local time and be transferred to Nyungwe Forest National Park with an en route lunch. Upon arrival at the park, you will be transferred direct to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 of 3 days Nyungwe Forest chimpanzee & canopy walk safari: Chimpanzee trekking
Chimpanzee trekking: After breakfast on day 2 of 3 days of the Nyungwe Forest chimpanzee & canopy walk safari, you will be driven to Cyamudongo Forest for a breathtaking chimpanzee trekking safari that starts with a briefing to learn the dos and don’ts while trekking chimpanzees in their natural habitats in the forest. During chimpanzee trekking, keep your eyes alert for an opportunity to spot other wildlife species, including more primates, since Nyungwe Forest National Park is not only a home to chimpanzees but also to other primates that make up 13 species of primates in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Spot other wildlife, including mammals such as elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, etc. Once you get closer to the chimpanzees, spend a maximum duration of 1 hour with the chimpanzees and return to your lodge for lunch.
Canopy walk: Still on day 2 of 3 days Nyungwe Forest chimpanzee & canopy walk safari: spend 1 and a half to 2 hours on a canopy walk within Nyungwe Forest. A canopy walk is such an adventurous activity that allows travelers to walk on a 50 m high canopy within the forest while sighting a lot of fauna and flora species, including primates, mammals, birds, butterflies, amphibians, and plants, among others. After the canopy walk, be driven back to the lodge while sighting different wildlife in the park. Spend your evening at leisure before enjoying dinner & have an overnight stay.

Depending on your departures, enjoy a city tour where you will visit some of the genocide memorial sites, market center, craft shops and many more before you depart.
